A BILL to amend and reenact section twenty-four, article two,
chapter seventeen-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand
nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing
the division of motor vehicles.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That section twenty-four, article two, chapter seventeen-a of
the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. DIVISION OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
§17A-2-24. Continuation of division.

The department division of motor vehicles shall terminate on
continue to exist until
the first day of July, two thousand three
four, pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished
pursuant to the provisions of that article.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the division
of motor vehicles until July 1, 2004, pursuant to the West Virginia
sunset law.
